A once in a lifetime experience: deployments
A deployment gives you the opportunity to step beyond the headlines and experience the work as it happens. By spending time on the ground with beneficiaries, you鈥檒l gain a deeper insight into the challenges communities face, and how your fundraising is making a real difference.
Salma, pictured left, joined a group of like-minded volunteers on a deployment to Mali and had her "eyes opened".
The children had no toys, they used bottle lids for play, and this broke my heart. SubhanAllah they had no complaints and were content. This (Mali) deployment was my first ever one, it was an eye opener and I got to see the charity funds being used for clean water supply, school refurbishment, eye clinic, and IDP camps.
